"Wedding Bells" by Sherwin Williams
This basic white actually has a touch of blue to it, which makes sense as a “wedding” color, since you need your old, new, borrowed, and blue. There is nothing that I like better than a crisp white against gray. Check out this sweet bedroom!

I am headed to the beach house to spend time with my pops tonight. The house is completely comfortable, surrounded by nature, and has the BEST bath tub! It got me thinking about this amazing bath tub that I saw online a few months ago. Sometimes you just want to get away from the craziness of the day and soak it up at the sea.

How cute is this??

"At Sea" by Benjamin Moore
This is such a relaxing, yet vibrant color by Benjamin Moore. I can think of soooo many uses for this… pair with a red to make a bright statement, or pair with black for a 50′s style kitchen. But, I am going to show you another way… a whimsical, feminine look with a touch of India. I LOVE this headboard against the blue.

Anyone else feeling blue about this stormy weather? Well, I have a case of the Monday blues. Therefore I will dream of summer by the shore. Here is where my mind is right now…

I want to sleep in this bed...

Cook in this kitchen...

Ride this bike along the shore...

Carry these totes to the summer farmer's market...

Wear this nautical looped bracelet... (by The Vamoose on Etsy.com)

And hang out on the dock with a fire... Oh summer how I miss you!!!

This weekend I’ll be heading to Napa to celebrate not only the new year, but 3 of my friend’s birthdays. With a house rented for 26 people, it is sure to be a party. Here is some inspiration for the upcoming party as we celebrate the beginning of 2011 and our new age— 30!

The Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes to celebrate each month for the upcoming new year... Hopefully they are all sweet! If you get a sour grape, expect a sour month ahead. String the gorgeous grapes onto a skewer to add a pop of color to your champagne flutes.

Instead of confetti, try cutting out circles in bright colored felt.

Serve some wonderful bites, including my favorite... bacon wrapped dates. Recipe below.
Ingredients:
32 pitted dates . 2 ounces shelled, whole pistachios . 2 ounces of dried apricot, sliced into 32 strips . 1 lb. of lean thick cut bacon, thinly sliced and then halved crosswise
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees . Stuff each date with 3-4 pistachios . Lay a stuffed date and apricot slice on each bacon slice . Wrap to enclose . Transfer to a baking sheet . Bake until bacon is crispy (about 10 minutes) . Transfer to a paper towel to drain . Serve with toothpicks . Enjoy the salt and sweet!

Give everyone a balloon so they can tie their 2011 wish and let it fly to the sky.

Give everyone a sparkler to celebrate in the dark.

The perfect outfit to celebrate 2011! Love the pops of color!!!

Benjamin Moore's "New Age"
This mauve color has the perfect amount of gray. I think it would look fabulous against a crisp glossy white. See how chic it can look in a baby nursery…

What a great idea to have a massive mirror behind the crib... gives a chance for the baby to check themselves out AND it looks super chic.

I recently saw a picture of Drew Barrymore that had me super excited. This got me thinking, what would this fashionista’s outfit translate into as a room…? I call it RUSTIC CHIC and this happens to be the word that characterizes my style of design. The term rustic chic is true to my soul, as well as Drew Barrymore’s style
.

I absolutely LOVE this living room by Fluegge Interior Design-- Polished with some spunk!

www.theoldpaintedcottage.com- Check out this place! Around every corner there is a well thought out surprise!

Designer James Cramer nailed this farmhouse space. Love the black paint to accent the fireplace and windows!

I love to mix metal and wood-- the epitome of RUSTIC CHIC!

Rustic brick, with chic chandelier and bedding. Dream Bedroom!

Soul Mate by Benjamin Moore
Soul Mate by Benjamin Moore- I would use this mauve color to accent the color black in order to create a modern, yet simple Parisian look. See what I mean…

A subtle mauve to act as a backdrop while black accents anchor the room.
Happy Monday… let the week be a breeze!!!
